Founder & CEO
Simon Giles
Simon has spent the last 15 years building Australian software companies, with a throughline running through every one of them: take something complicated and make it feel obvious. With a background in user-experience design, he's known for stripping away the complexity that scares small businesses away from doing the right thing.
He founded Instant Compliance to do exactly that for AUSTRAC. The mission isn't to just build the most powerful AML platform. It's to build the one any Australian business can actually run, in under 15 minutes, without hiring a dedicated compliance officer.
As a consultant, he has led projects at Telstra, Optus, Qantas, Tourism Australia and Ignition Wealth. Based in Sydney, he's a firm believer in technology that quietly does the hard work in the background, so people can get on with theirs.
Over the past few years, Simon has grown a team in Australia solving enterprise problems for the finance industry. Today that team is focused squarely on compliance, across both Australia and the EU. Instant Compliance is headquartered in Sydney, where the majority of the team is based, with an EU office planned to open later this year.
